With a limited edition Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro, Samsung is paying homage to one of its most significant models from two decades ago, the Samsung E700, which has an extensive history in the flip phone market.
Similar to the E700, the Flip5 Retro has the same recognizable silver and indigo blue hues. It also has some retro pixel graphics UI adjustments and a cityscape animation on its Flex Window cover screen.
Samsung includes Flipsuit cards with stickers of the many Samsung logos from previous periods together with a lovely packaging featuring the logos of the Z Flip5 and the E700 when the phone is shipped. A collector card for the Samsung E700 with an imprinted unique serial number is also included in the package.
Limited editions of the Galaxy Z Flip5 Retro will go on sale in South Korea on November 1 and in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Australia on November 2. Only the Samsung official website offers the limited edition device for purchase to consumers in these markets. Prices have not yet been disclosed.
