WhatsApp is continuously enhancing its user experience with new features. Recently, it was reported that the messaging app is working on a feature allowing users to organize their contacts and group chats into custom lists. The latest update suggests that WhatsApp is now developing a way to filter chats using these personalized lists.
According to WABetaInfo, who also provided screenshots of the new feature, users will soon be able to filter their chats by these custom lists. In the app, these list labels will appear alongside existing filters like "All," "Unread," and "Groups." The filter's label will match the name of the list, and when selected, it will display all individual and group chats associated with that particular list.
This exciting feature was spotted in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android, specifically in version 2.24.18.16. However, it's important to note that this feature is still under development and is not yet available, even for beta users. It is expected to be released to beta testers in the coming weeks, with a public rollout to follow soon after.
