BLE - definition
BLE stands for BlueTooth LE or BlueTooth Low Energy which was designed to denote the low energy consumption of the chip used in the device to provide BlueTooth connectivity. BLE is a wireless standard of BlueTooth, introduced back in 2009 as part of the BlueTooth 4.0 specification. Some BlueTooth data transmission requires much stronger signal strength and more power to increase the signal stability, whereas BLE helps the chip to use less power for these applications. Other essential applications don’t need much power to operate. BLE was developed for several features such as wearable devices, smart home appliances connectivity, and other high-definition audio profiles like aptX.
