Concatenated SMS - definition
Concatenated Short Message Service is one of the great example of engineering. In simple words, previously when we used to type an SMS we seen we could only type 160 character in a single SMS. But nowadays if we want to send more than 160 characters in a single SMS then this Concatenated SMS term comes up. Device automatically divides 160 char/message and counts how many messages are there, sends them separately with a User Data Header (UDH) tacked onto the beginning. And when the receiver receives multiple SMS with same UDH then it joints all the messages in to one part and allow user to see all the messages in one text form.
