OEM - definition
OEM stands for “Original Equipment Manufacturer” which can be misleading by its original mean. Because OEM actually denotes a different company that makes specific parts for a different company or product which they don’t own. i.e.: TSMC produces Apple’s mobile chip, here chips produced by TSM will be called OEM parts. Or a vehicle parts of a Mercedes Benz could be manufactured by a different company and supply to Mercedes, are considered and OEM.
