Percentile rank - definition
Percentile rank is measurement where the phone internal performance is measured using different software by enforcing or loading different types of analytical data. In other words, it can be said it is one kind of test result to justify how load the device can take and what is the score and what does it mean. There are several percentile ranking software can be found in the industry which are: Antutu, PassMark, Androbench, 3D Mark, Geekbench, PCMark, GFXBench and so on.
In these software there are many preloaded data or instructions which are used to justify how the device is reacting to that specific data or instruction. For example it can be audio, video, 3D video or data read/write speed. Combining all sort of performance test a final score is given for that specific device and it can be used to justify the ranking of that particular device in global ranking chart.
