Virtual RAM - definition

We all know RAM simply defines Random Access Memory which is a Volatile memory. That means it can store data inside of the chip as long as power is supplied to the RAM. The data got erased instantly at the moment the power supply is cut.
A virtual RAM or Virtual Random Access Memory is a term used in computers, mobile phones, and other electronic devices to extend the built-in RAM storage by borrowing a certain amount of storage spaces from the other installed storage device such as device memory or external storage.
It increases the RAM and can operate along with the existing firmware without changing anything.
i.e.: Today, many phone manufacturers use this feature to extend the RAM capability by borrowing additional spaces from the device memory to escalate the device's entire performance indirectly (by keeping the opened tabs or apps on).
